Catena Historic Red Blend 2021 Sippers & Mixers This ain’t no subtle teaThe 2021 Tinto Histrico DV Catena is a blend of 75% Malbec, 18% Bonarda and 7% Petit Verdot from Lujn de Cuyo and the Uco Valley and was aged for eight months in new and used barrels. It's garnet red in the glass. The ripe, liqueur like nose offers sour cherry and plum notes leavened by fresh herbal notes over a pleasant secondary layer from the aging process. Quite smooth with good volume, the flow is juicy yet a little compressed in the mouth.
