Alphaville-inspired 'Big In Japan' Art Print Style:Stretched Canvas 'Let Down' has a terrificNext to 'Forever Young' (see my poster for that too), 'Big In Japan' was a big hit for new wave band Alphaville, and it was the rage in the mid 80s. It was inspired by the real life story of a punk rock bank from the UK with that name, and from the more general idea developed in the 80s that it was possible for a band to achieve massive success in Japan but nowhere else it's come to refer to niche, odd, and inexplicable success in random markets (a
