Singing Aspens/Birch in Blue is part of a  series where Michele used sheet music to create tree trunks

so I painted the colors at the same time over a wet map

Raised silver was used for the peaks and hand embellished metallics are done at the horizon line

The side pieces or "wings" are 6" x 48" and the center is 6" x 60". This original was painted with acrylic for the background then acid oxidized paints were floated across a wet background to imitate flowing water in soft patina colors.
