The backrests and seat have been recovered in polished blood red saddle slung leather

A piece of rope has been fixed around the edge of the mirror to help hide the join between the mirror and the wooden frame

The seat tapers to 43cms rear/49cms front

Circa 1740 French Gilt Mirror with Original Glass cabinets An unusual 1970s German PeillAn original French mid eighteenth century parcel gilt mirror with its original glass. The gilded wooden frame features foliage decoration and eight cartouches of smaller rectangular mirror (two on each side) set within it to further enhance its beauty. The mirror is heavily foxed commensurate with its age. Tained with mercury. In very good condition. Dimensions: Width: 44cm Depth: 4cm Height: 49cm
